Synopsis

Childhood Under Surveillence, 10.0 out of 10 based on 1 rating

In today’s post modern society, behavioural disorders in children and teenagers have become a matter of serious concern.

In Europe, the United States and Canada, scientists’ research is looking at possible medical causes (in the psychiatric, neurological or genetic areas) for violent behaviour in youngsters. They are recommending that we screen children at an even earlier stage.

Does this mean that delinquency is an illness ? What does it mean that science and medicine are taking on the issues that up to now have been relegated to the social and educational sectors ? As we meet those who are working in the field and speak to those who are involved with the issue (France, Canada, the USA, Belgium, the UK and Germany), our documentary Childhood Under Surveillance helps us  understand how behavioural science deals with young children today – and how this might affect our society in the future.
